What does it smell like?
The Entomologist is a walk through the herb garden with freshly crushed thyme leaves, soft geranium, sun-warmed cedar and sparks of clove. The fragrance is fresh, herbal and spicy, inspiring feelings of invigoration and overall well-being.
How does it work?
Rosemary, Cedar, Thyme, Geranium, Lemongrass, and Clove all have high concentrations of plant chemicals proven to repel biting insects.
These powerful essential oils were selected for their functionality and blended with organic non-GMO soybean oil for a moisturizing finish.
HOW TO USE
The Entomologist can be worn anytime, anywhere as a fragrance. It does not contain any of the toxic chemicals that many insects repellents do and therefore we recommend applying this delectable potion once every hour.
WHY “THE ENTOMOLOGIST?”
“Entomology” concerns itself with the study of insects and the plants that surround them.
Given that they outnumber humans by 1.4bn to 1, possess countless superpowers and make up more than half of the named species on the planet, it seems like Mother Nature’s heart is beating especially hard for her six-legged children. As a result, they appear to have gotten it all. They could fly before birds. They’ve seen the dinosaurs come and go. They were worshiped by pharaohs because of their inexplicable metamorphosis and can detect a hot hook-up several kilometers away. And they are wonderfully diverse. Some have ears on their tongues. Others have eyes on their penises. Some look like exquisite jewels, others like dead twigs. They are here, there and everywhere.
As The Entomologist knows, we are inextricably entangled with these inordinate creatures and we owe them a lot, but sometimes this relationship becomes too close for comfort and we need to protect ourselves from becoming a homo sapien smorgasbord. Luckily for us, insects communicate through scent; a language we know intimately.
By using plants as our muse and understanding how they defend themselves from unwanted invaders, we’ve developed this sublime yet functional fragrance that will keep blood-thirsty visitors at bay with its heady mix of spicy thyme, hot cinnamon, and herbaceous geranium.
